Tragus Piercing/Q&A ♡

I got my tragus pierced! This wasn't something I had really planned to do I just woke up one morning and felt that I wanted to get it done. I had already had it done 3 years ago but sadly it got one of those 'dreaded bump' so I had to take it out.

Seeing as I had it done before I know what the pain was like. I would probably give it a 8/10, not because it hurt to actually do, its the couple of days after that hurt the most. Its constant pain for over a week! It hurts to talk, smile, chew and do anything that involved your jaw moving.

I do love it though and think after al the pain is gone it will be worth it. Cleaning it twice a day can be a task so make sure you're ready to follow though with that before you get it done.

The one thing I forgot before I went and got it done was the fact that I cant wear earphone for 3 weeks. If I had known this before hand I don't think I would have continued with it, I hate only having one headphone in!

You clean it with sea salt and warm water. Its very easy to clean although it might sting a little if you have too much salt in the mixture but that wont cause any problems or irritation, if anything its better as its cleaned better.
You cant sleep on it so make sure you get it on a side where you prefer to sleep.

Overall i'm very happy with my decision to get my tragus and hopefully I will update you in a couple months when its fully healed.
I got mine done at Cold Steel in Camden Town, London for £24 which is a standard price for any ear piercing. I would highly recommend Cold Steel, I have had all my piercings done there and never had a problem.

I hope this has answered any questions you might have if you want to go get your tragus done. If I have left anything out you can leave it as a comment, I reply to everyone.

Working with Sumayah Deria ♡

On the 8th of March I helped take part in a charity fashion show for Orphans of the Middle East, at the Langham Hotel, London. The designer who had provided the clothes for the shows was called Sumayah Deria. I was very lucky to get to work with her personally, she's such a wonderful, empowering woman with such an inspiring work ethic.

Here are two out of the three dresses I got to wear, sadly I didn't take any pictures in my first outfit. Something that strongly stands out in all of Sumayah's creations was her attention to detail. All the prints and dresses were very carefully embellished and full of vibrant prints that make them so eye catching.

I got my makeup done by a wonderful makeup artist called Nags (Instagram: NAGSMUA) and my hair done by Sara (Instagram: SARADBEAUTY). Both these makeup artists are located in London and deserve so much more recognition for their great work. I personally hate getting my makeup done professionally, which I know is weird as most girls love getting pampered. Unfortunately, not all styles/colours suit my face and every time I have had my makeup done I have hated it. I could not fault any of my makeup on this day and i'm still obsessed with it and wish I had it on right now!

Such a wonderful day that I wanted to keep it as a memory on my blog.
I have recently been thinking about lifestyle blogging, stuff similar to this post. Just to document some of my day to day life as apposed to just beauty and fashion. Let me know what you all think. Also, if you haven't already looked at it, I now have a new layout.

Revision Tips ♡

No matter how old you are right about now you are a month away from sitting a set of very important exams. I have my AS exams in exactly 21 days from now and others might have A2, GCSE or even Uni finals.
Heres a list of things that I have found to be effective when revising.

Get organised!
This is a lot easier said than done, I am quite a disorganised person who has her stuff laying around all over the place. Make a timetable, plan out how your week is going to go and how much you plan to finish by the end of that week. Make sure you have spaces for recapping and past paper practice.
The amount of revision you do depends on how soon you start revising. If you have been working for months then you are safe to be doing less revision than someone who has decided they're going to start after reading this post. I recommend doing 5 hours on a weekend and 3 on a school night and taking Friday as a rest day.

Chase after your teachers!
If like me any of you do essay subjects write out practice essays and make sure your teacher marks them. Doing 2/3 past papers or essays a week and getting criticism on them is the only way you are going to improve. Ask your teacher for extra recourses, see if they have any specimen papers or question sheets.Sacrifice your lunch break or a free period to sit down with them and ask about things you don't know, get them to explain it as many times till you fully understand it. They are getting paid to do this so make sure you utilise them.

Revise everywhere!
Make sure your revision is portable. Flash cards are the best for this, you can get these at your local supermarket for no more than £1.50. Carrying a few of these in your bag will ensure you will remember that information. Read these cards whilst on the bus, laying in bed, on the train, walking around, ANYWHERE. Download apps on your phone or revision games, I have some for psychology but i'm sure there are apps for every subject to exist. I doubt anyone leaves their house without having their phone on them; take pictures of your notes and read them whilst on the go. Even if you think you're stopping for 5 minutes and theres no point in getting your notes out, there is a point. Anything you do will help when it comes to the final exam.

Eliminate distractions.
This is probably the hardest of all the steps. Don't revise in your room because you will find something to distract you, I personally revise in the kitchen as theres only so much food I can eat until I get down to actually working. Give your parents your phone whilst you're working, turn it off and give it to them. You can use your phone in your revision break but as long as its there and accessible you will never get work done. Your phone is probably the reason you don't get as much work done.

Revise in groups.
This doesn't work for all people, but I know it works for some. Sitting in a group with people and exchanging notes or having someone to explain something you don't understand and vice versa can be effective but can also go very wrong. You have to stay focused and work, its very easy to go off topic and end up talking and laughing for hours rather than revising. I would recommend doing this when you have finished all your revision and all you have to do is recap.

Take breaks!
Revising for hours can really get to your head. Take breaks, sit in the garden get some fresh air, have some lunch, watch an episode of friends. Don't over work yourself as you will just want to give up. Everything is good when taken in the right amounts.
Make sure you get as much sleep as you can and not work when your tired cause there is just no point in working whilst tired as nothing goes in (I speak from experience).

Crest 3D Whitening Strips Professional Effects ♡

I have wanted to try out this product for the longest time after reading lots of reviews and watching lots of Youtube videos. Sadly, they don't sell this product in the UK so I had to wait till one of my friends flew to the states and bought me the 3D Crest Whitening Strips back with her. I have never had really stained or really yellow teeth, they just weren't as bright as I liked them to be.
I used it instantly after I got it. I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth with the Colgate whitening toothpaste, which is just what i've always used. Then applied the bottom and top strips to my teeth.

On the packet it says to keep on for 30 minutes but I  keep mine on for hours and sometimes sleep with the strips on. I haven't noticed any damage to my teeth by doing this. I have always had sensitive teeth and they haven't gotten any worse even after keeping the product on over night so I would recommend doing that to get the best results.
Like most at home whitening kits the results aren't drastic but noticeable. Ive had so many friends and family compliment me on my teeth and asking if I have had them professionally whitened.
Im so happy with this product and have had really positive results using it and would highly recommend it.

Elf HD Mattifying Cream Foundation ♡

I recently found myself on the Elf website just to browse at first, but thats how it always starts off. I did make quite a big purchase so expect a lot of blogposts this week whilst i try them all out.
The product i was most excited to try out was the cream foundation. I personally don't wear foundation on a day to day basis, just on big occasions where i want a full face look. I thought that these would be good foundations for cream contouring rather than for coverage.

Sorry about the photo quality, i'm currently not home and didn't have my camera with me so i just had to use my phone. I also forgot to take the pictures before i used the products.

Both of these were £5.57 on sale (still on sale you can get them here.) I got the lightest colour for highlighting in 'Porcelain' and the lightest dark colour in 'Buff' as my contour shade.
swatches of both

These foundations are very high in coverage which i really love and do the job so amazingly. The consistency is very light and turns into almost a liquid rather than a cream when applied.
This is such a good product which i will be repurchasing for sure and would highly recommend it.
I would love to post a heavy contour tutorial KimK inspired so if any of you do want to see that let me know.

Update: Ive recently joined Bloglovin' and would love if you guys followed me, the link is here or you can press the pink button on my blog. Thank you all
